Laura is a Partner and the director of Dalberg’s London office. She co-leads Dalberg’s Responsible Business practice and specializes in developing inclusive business models, deploying capital for impact, and building multi-stakeholder initiatives to accelerate development.
Laura has worked with dozens of companies on how to embed impact at the core of business strategies. She advises Fortune 500 corporations and regional conglomerates in sectors such as food and beverage, financial services, healthcare and pharmaceutical, energy, extractives, and manufacturing. Her experience includes identifying new business models that unlock impact opportunities, building co-funding partnerships, and measuring the value created by sustainability strategies.
Laura also collaborates with investors, philanthropies, and bilateral aid agencies to mobilize capital at scale. Her efforts involve advising development finance institutions to enhance their pipeline-building approaches, setting investment theses for asset managers in the impact sector, and assessing the market potential of emerging industries.
She also partners with leading foundations to highlight underinvested health issues. Laura has worked with various organizations to emphasize menstruation as a vital component of women’s health and well-being. She has also helped global funders amplify the urgency of addressing the health impacts of climate change, including by elevating changemakers across the Global South and directing finance towards local adaptation solutions.
Laura previously was an Associate Director at FSG, where she co-led the firm’s Latin America and Gender practices, and had an earlier career in architecture. She holds an Executive MBA from London Business School and a Bachelor of Architecture from Cornell University (Research Honors). Laura is Colombian and has lived and worked across Latin America, South Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, the US and Europe.
